When is a Lie Not a Lie?

When it's used to save the world from peril?

The Tappening explores this ethical beartrap by encouraging users to start a lie about the bottled water industry. To spark the interest of Generation Twitter, submitted lies have a character limit: 115.

Tagline: "If they can lie, so can you. Find out the truth at tappening.com." Playground vengeance dynamics ftw!

The Tappening sells reusable plastic water bottles for people that purport to care about the environment. That's funny, given its aggressive stance against the disposable bottled water folks, because remember when Nalgene water bottles were popular, then they stopped being popular because of that chemical researchers found in polycarbonate plastic that poses potentially serious health risks to humans?

Of course you do. That's why you sport a Sigg like all the other hipsters that enjoy being eco-conscious and not having cancer. Enlightenment: the anti-drug.
